Are your kids swim-ready for summer?

Are your kids swim-ready for summer?

It’s important to plan ahead and being swim-ready for summer means starting Swim and Survive lessons in winter.

The Royal Life Saving Society of Australia progressive water safety program is designed to teach infants, pre-schoolers and primary school aged children. Students learn traditional swimming strokes that are combined with water safety and personal survival awareness and skills.

It helps participants to become engaged in aquatic activities and potential future sporting opportunities and most importantly, the program saves lives.

During the colder winter months it’s hard to stay motivated, so we recommend you visit us at Cook + Phillip Park Pool and utilise our indoor facilities. The pools are warmed to a lovely 30 degrees which means it’s much warmer IN the water than out.

We also offer fitness facilities including free weights, classes and brand new cardio equipment for parents and teens. You can purchase a Family Membership package so the whole family can work out and stay fit and healthy.

HINTS and TIPS

  • It is recommended taking a family trip to the best location suited to you. This provides the opportunity to become more familiar with the surroundings and to view the lessons in action and to meet the staff.
  • Have family discussions regarding lessons and the type of activities you want to undertake.
  • Remember it’s supposed to be fun! We want kids to want to learn.
